THC Logo ANSI Standard Double Pitch Transmission Roller Chains

Double Pitch Power Transmission Roller Chains, or Extended Pitch Power Transmission Roller Chains, are dimensionally identical to ANSI Standard Roller Chains of the same strength, except to pitch length, which is twice that of its ANSI standard equivalent ("doubled"). With only one-half the number of pins, bushes, and rollers, double pitch transmission roller chains are lighter and more economical than ANSI Standard Roller Chains, and are ideal for moderate speed driving and transmission applications, particularly when shaft centers are relatively long. Typical application of this type of chains is found in light load drives in agriculture.

1) All the products are available in stainless steel, nickel-plated, zinc-plated or copper-plated version on request.
2)Special sprockets are required for these chains since the pitch line differs from that of ANSI standard roller chains. Since special double duty sprockets are used for these chains, every other tooth is engaged with chain when utilizing an odd numbers tooth sprocket. For an even number of sprocket teeth, the sprocket can be manually indexed for greater wear life.
