THC Logo ANSI Standard Short Pitch Heavy Duty Roller Chains

ANSI Standard Short Pitch Heavy Duty Roller Chains are built in the same techniques as ANSI Standard Roller Chain (ISO 606A, ANSI B29.1M and DIN 8188) but with next thicker link plates providing increased fatigue resistance for those drives subjected to heavy shock loads, multiple stops/starts or reversing as found in mining, quarrying, rock drilling, forestry and construction machinery.

Heavy Duty Roller Chains are not necessarily stronger than the corresponding ANSI Standard Roller Chains. Single strand heavy duty roller chains can operate on standard sprockets, however, all multiple strand chains require special sprockets to accommodate the difference of dimensional changes in the transverse pitch (the distance between roller center lines). Proper lubrication of the chain drive in severe operating conditions is highly recommended.
